Hi all our Challenge friends (Danish Challenge, Baltic Sea Challenge, Icelandic Challenge), WSJ23/CST Reunion Team and our international scouts and scout leader friends of Roslagen! We are proud to finally present next summer’s big event – The international scout camp NJORD 2025!
The camp will take place on the beautiful island of Vässarö (Sweden) between August 2-9, 2025, and we warmly invite you all to an adventure that stretches beyond the horizon and connects us again.

Vässarö is a stunning island located in the Stockholm archipelago, known for its pristine nature and excellent scouting facilities.
The island has been a scout center since 1956 and can host
up to 50,000 overnight guests annually. It offers a perfect blend of wilderness and modern
amenities, making it an ideal location for NJORD 2025. A camp that unites and challenges.
Just as the sea connects countries and people, we want this camp to be a place where scouts
from all our international friends as well our own Roslagen scouts meet and create new
relationships.
At NJORD 2025, you’ll tap into the courage and resilience that have defined Nordic people for
centuries. Whether you’re scaling new heights on our climbing walls, navigating the
archipelago in a kayak, or sharing stories around our continuous campfire, you’ll discover
strengths you never knew you had. This isn’t just a camp – it’s a journey of self-discovery, a
celebration of Nordic unity, and a chance to be part of something bigger than yourself. NJORD
2025 is where legends are born, and lifelong memories are forged.
In a time when the world can feel divided, it is more important than ever to create places for
human contact, cooperation, and SCOUTING. NJORD 2025 is not just a scout camp – it’s an
opportunity to meet, share experiences, and talk about what really matters. Through scouting,
we get a chance to get to know each other deeply and build bridges, regardless of the
challenges society or the world faces.

A Program for Everyone
For NJORD, we have planned a program filled with classic scouting elements including sailing (even to Åland Islands and back), forest activities, and crafts, as well as new international and regional elements that we know will interest scouts of all ages. For troops that have planned
their own camp with their own program but would like to be part of the NJORD community, there is the possibility to hold your own “camp-in-camp” at Vässarö during this time.
Registration and Next Steps
We will soon send out a link to your registration, prices (SEK 3500/8 days alt. SEK 2200/4 days – excl. travelling from your home country), and the full program (incl. never-ending campfire, Makerspace, Banff, Wakeboard, canoeing races, music awards and much more). But already now, we want to encourage you to start planning – book the dates and prepare for a week filled with memories you will not soon forget. Join as a NJORD Head of your country?Gr8, have a word with Minna and we´ll get you onboard asap! Good for you to know: We’re applying for ERASMUS+ funding which can involve your country, too (we always check the eligibility of your country for an ERASMUS+ funding). This means you may be able to cover your travel expenses (incl. pre- events and post/follow-up workshops) and lower the participation fees for you and your scouts. Additionally, we welcome external funding and sponsors from all our participating countries to join us in supporting NJORD 2025.
This collaborative approach will help make the event more accessible and enriching for all participants.
